Jobot is seeking an Insurance Defense Associate Attorney to join our in‑office litigation team. You will handle matters from intake through resolution for insurance defense, with exposure to pleadings, discovery, hearings, and trials across New York, New Jersey, and Pennsylvania.

This role emphasizes collaboration with insurance carriers and insured clients, requires strong research and writing, and supports ongoing professional development.

Qualifications

• Juris Doctor and active bar admission in NY, NJ, or PA.
• 2+ years of insurance defense or civil litigation experience.
• Strong legal research, writing, and communication skills.
• Experience with discovery, motion practice, court appearances, and depositions preferred.
• Ability to manage a busy caseload with attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Handle insurance defense matters from intake through resolution.
• Draft pleadings, motions, discovery, reports, and correspondence.
• Manage written discovery and document review.
• Attend court conferences, hearings, depositions, and mediations.
• Work directly with insurance carriers, insured clients, opposing counsel, and experts.
• Analyze liability, damages, and case strategy.
• Prepare cases for settlement, arbitration, and trial.
• Maintain strong communication with clients and internal team members.
