Job summary

CyberCoders seeks an Insurance Defense Associate to join our litigation team. The role covers defense of insurers and insureds in a broad range of civil matters across New Jersey, Pennsylvania, and federal courts, with courtroom experience from motions through trial.

The ideal candidate has JD, NJ/PA bar admissions (federal admissions preferred), and 3+ years in civil litigation with strong research and advocacy skills. Travel within the region is expected.

Qualifications

• JD from an accredited law school.
• Bar admission in NJ and/or PA; federal courts preferred.
• 3+ years civil litigation experience in insurance defense & personal injury.
• Experience in premises liability, construction defects, security claims, toxic exposure, and professional liability.

Responsibilities

• Manage diverse litigation caseload from intake to resolution, including pleadings, motions, and discovery responses.
• Develop case strategy and conduct research, factual investigations, and witness preparation for depositions and trial.
• Appear and advocate in state and federal court hearings, status conferences, motions, and trials.
• Take and defend depositions; coordinate with retained experts; respond to expert reports.
