Job summary

Jobot is seeking an Insurance Defense Associate for our Boca Raton office. You will represent insurers and insured clients in civil matters, handling personal injury, general liability, and property damage with rigorous attention to detail.

The ideal candidate has a J.D., Florida Bar admission, 3+ years in defense litigation, strong Florida law knowledge, excellent research and writing skills, and the ability to manage a dynamic caseload while collaborating with senior attorneys.

Qualifications

• J.D. from an accredited law school and Florida Bar admission.
• 3+ years of insurance defense litigation experience.
• Strong knowledge of Florida law and procedural rules.
• Excellent research, writing, and communication skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
• Trial experience is a plus.
• Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills.

Responsibilities

• Represent insurers and insured clients in civil litigation matters, including personal injury, general liability, and property damage defense.
• Conduct legal research, prepare pleadings, motions, and other court filings.
• Draft legal documents such as discovery responses, briefs, and settlement agreements.
• Participate in all phases of litigation, including depositions, mediations, hearings, and trial preparation.
• Communicate effectively with clients, opposing counsel, and internal team members to provide updates on case strategy and developments.
• Attend court hearings, trials, and arbitration sessions as required.
• Provide risk analysis and advise clients on legal strategies and potential outcomes.
• Manage a caseload independently while collaborating with senior attorneys on complex matters.
