Job Details

A highly respected litigation firm is seeking a motivated and skilled Insurance Defense Associate to join our Boca Raton office. The ideal candidate will have experience handling insurance defense cases, including personal injury, property damage, and other related claims. This role requires strong litigation skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage a dynamic caseload in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Represent insurance companies and insured clients in a variety of civil litigation matters, including personal injury, general liability, and property damage defense.
• Conduct legal research, prepare pleadings, motions, and other court filings.
• Draft legal documents such as discovery responses, briefs, and settlement agreements.
• Participate in all phases of litigation, including depositions, mediations, hearings, and trial preparation.
• Communicate effectively with clients, opposing counsel, and internal team members to provide updates on case strategy and developments.
• Attend court hearings, trials, and arbitration sessions as required.
• Provide risk analysis and advise clients on legal strategies and potential outcomes.
• Manage a caseload independently while collaborating with senior attorneys on complex matters.

Qualifications

• J.D. from an accredited law school and admission to the Florida Bar.
• 3+ years of experience in insurance defense litigation, preferably in bodily injury, general liability, or property damage.
• Strong knowledge of Florida law and procedural rules.
• Excellent legal research, writing, and communication skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
• Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills.
• Trial experience is a plus but not required.
