Job summary

Great Florida Insurance is seeking a motivated, personable, and detail-oriented Customer Service & Sales Representative to join our insurance team. This is a primarily customer service-focused position with sales responsibilities, comfortable helping existing clients, handling day-to-day policy service needs, and identifying opportunities to quote and sell additional coverage.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Assist customers with policy questions, changes, documents, payments, and general service needs.
• Provide prompt and professional customer service by phone, email, and text
• Process policy changes, cancellations, requests, and other customer service tasks
• Follow up with clients regarding outstanding documents and insurance requirements
• Communicate with insurance carriers and mortgage companies as needed
• Review customer accounts and identify opportunities for additional coverage
• Take inbound sales opportunities and provide quotes when appropriate
• Follow up with prospective customers and existing clients on quotes
• Assist with new business and cross-selling opportunities
• Maintain accurate and organized customer records
• Work closely with agents and the rest of the office team to ensure customers receive consistent service
• Follow established agency procedures and carrier requirements

Responsibilities

What You'll Do

Requirements

What We're Looking For

• Previous insurance experience preferred but we are willing to train the right person
• Florida 2-15 or 2-20 license preferred, but not required for the right candidate
• Strong customer service and communication skills
• Comfortable speaking with customers on the phone
• Organized and able to manage multiple tasks and priorities
• Strong attention to detail
• Comfortable learning and working with agency management systems and technology
• Professional, dependable, and able to work well independently and as part of a team
• Comfortable with sales conversations and following up on opportunities
• A positive attitude and willingness to learn

The Ideal Candidate

We're looking for someone who understands that the job is more than simply answering the phone. You'll need to be able to solve problems, communicate clearly, stay organized, and recognize when a customer may have an opportunity for additional coverage.

This is not a high-pressure sales-only position. Customer service is the primary focus, but the ability and willingness to sell when appropriate is an important part of the role.
