Job summary

BCG Attorney Search seeks an Insurance Coverage/Insurance Litigation Associate in San Francisco, CA. The role offers flexible hybrid work or remote opportunities and involves handling cases in California and across the US, working with domestic and foreign insurers.

The ideal candidate has CA admission, 2-8 years defense litigation experience, and at least 1 year in coverage/coverage litigation, with strong writing and advocacy skills.

Qualifications

• Admitted to practice in California.
• 2-8 years of defense litigation experience.
• 1+ years of coverage/coverage litigation experience.
• Experience in insurance coverage, including drafting coverage opinions.
• Experience in third-party or first-party claims preferred.
• Experience drafting discovery and pretrial motions required.
• Experience cross-examining plaintiffs and other fact witnesses preferred.
• Trial experience a plus.
• Superior analytical skills.
• Strong written and oral communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Draft pleadings, motions, briefs, legal memoranda, and other legal documents.
• Attend court hearings, depositions, and mediations.
• Collaborate effectively with colleagues across departments and offices.
• Investigate claims and draft coverage opinion letters.
• Provide clients with insurance coverage advice on various subjects.
• Communicate with clients and provide status reports.
