Wilson Elser's San Francisco office is seeking an Insurance Coverage/Insurance Litigation Associate to join a collaborative team of professionals. The ideal candidate will have 2-8 years of defense litigation experience and at least 1 year in coverage/coverage litigation, with admission to the California bar.

We offer a flexible hybrid or remote work arrangement, and a competitive compensation package within the $155,000-$210,000 USD salary range along with robust benefits.

Qualifications

• JD from an ABA-accredited law school.
• Admitted to practice in California.
• 2–8 years of defense litigation experience.
• 1+ years of coverage/coverage litigation experience.
• Experience drafting coverage opinions and related insurance coverage tasks.

Responsibilities

• Draft pleadings, motions, briefs, legal memoranda, and other legal documents.
• Attend court hearings, depositions, and mediations.
• Collaborate across departments and offices to support a cohesive team.
• Investigate claims and draft coverage opinion letters in coverage litigation matters.
• Provide clients with insurance coverage advice on various subjects.
• Communicate with clients and provide status reports.
