Qualifications

• 2+ years of insurance coverage and/or insurance coverage litigation experience.
• Active New York admission for New York or Illinois admission for Chicago.
• Strong policy analysis, legal research, writing, and communication skills.
• Ability to manage multiple matters and deadlines independently.
• Professional liability, D&O, financial institutions coverage, and coverage opinion drafting preferred. Indiana admission is a plus for Chicago.

Responsibilities

• Analyze insurance policies and evaluate coverage issues.
• Draft coverage opinions, reservation of rights letters, DISCLAIMERS, and related correspondence.
• Manage coverage litigation, including discovery, depositions, motions, hearings, mediations, and trial work.
• Prepare pleadings, briefs, research memoranda, and client reports.
• Provide strategic advice to carrier clients and collaborate with other coverage attorneys.

Base compensation: New York: $130,000-150,000. Chicago: $140,000-200,000.

Work arrangement: Chicago: hybrid or fully remote may be considered based on experience and team needs. New York schedule to be discussed.
