Job summary

Arthur, Chapman, Kettering, Smetak & Pikala, P.A. seeks an attorney focusing on insurance coverage matters, including CGL and other commercial coverages. The role involves drafting coverage opinions, strategy discussions with insurer clients, and handling coverage litigation commensurate with experience.

Full-time with a hybrid work environment; Minnesota licensure or eligibility required, with a minimum of two years' legal experience and strong research, writing, and analytical skills.

Qualifications

• Active license to practice law in Minnesota, or eligibility and willingness to obtain Minnesota licensure promptly.
• A minimum of two years of legal experience is required; insurance coverage or insurance-related litigation experience is strongly preferred.
• Experience evaluating CGL coverage is highly desirable.
• Excellent legal research, analytical, and writing skills.
• Strong judgment, attention to detail, and ability to manage deadlines.
• A collaborative, practical, and client-focused approach.

Work Environment and Expectations

Full-time attorneys have an annual billable-hour expectation of 1,700 hours. We also welcome qualified attorneys seeking a part-time arrangement, with expectations and compensation adjusted to the agreed-upon schedule.
