Job summary

Qualifications

• Active license to practice law in Minnesota, or eligibility and willingness to obtain Minnesota licensure promptly.
• A minimum of two years of legal experience is required; insurance coverage or insurance-related litigation experience is strongly preferred.
• Experience evaluating CGL coverage is highly desirable.
• Excellent legal research, analytical, and writing skills.
• Strong judgment, attention to detail, and ability to manage deadlines.
• A collaborative, practical, and client-focused approach.

Responsibilities

• Analyze insurance policies and coverage issues, with emphasis on CGL and other commercial coverage matters.
• Research and prepare coverage opinions, position letters, briefs, and other written work product.
• Advise and communicate with insurer clients regarding coverage, strategy, and risk.
• Handle coverage litigation and related proceedings based on experience level.
• Evaluate first-party property coverage and handle appraisal claims.
• Collaborate with attorneys across the firm while developing direct client relationships and increasing responsibility.
