Job summary

Clyde & Co US LLP is seeking an Associate Attorney in our Phoenix office with 3 to 6 years of insurance coverage litigation experience. The role requires proactive, motivated, and organized candidates with excellent research and writing skills.

The position offers a hybrid work model with flexible in-office and remote arrangements. Responsibilities include analyzing policies, drafting opinions, conducting legal research, and handling pleadings, discovery, depositions, and trials as needed.

Qualifications

• Admitted to practice in Arizona.
• Admitted in other states is a plus (CA, TX, WA) but not required.
• 3+ years of insurance coverage experience.
• Experience with first-party property and third-party liability claims, bad faith, and declaratory judgment actions.
• Experience with primary and excess personal lines and commercial general liability policies.
• Strong research, writing, and analytical skills.
• Ability to handle time sensitive matters.
• Ability to manage and prioritize multiple projects.
• Excellent organizational and time management skills.
• Ability to identify and resolve problems quickly.
• Strong work ethic and attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Analyze insurance policies, draft coverage opinions and provide coverage recommendations for clients.
• Conduct legal research.
• Draft pleadings, memos, briefs, discovery, motions and other legal correspondence.
• Prepare and respond to written discovery.
• Attend and conduct depositions, EUOs, hearings, mediations and trials as required.
