Porch Group seeks a Corporate Counsel, Insurance to provide legal services to senior leadership and guide the Insurance division. You will lead the insurance legal and compliance team, monitor regulatory changes, and oversee filings, governance materials, and cross-functional programs with Finance, Product, Compliance, and Claims.

You will report to the General Counsel and help translate Porch's strategic objectives into approvals and market actions while building scalable policies and best

Formación

• 3–5 years of experience in Texas, at a law firm, government, insurance regulator, and/or in-house role.
• Direct experience with insurance regulatory matters, including state filings, rate and form approvals, market conduct.
• Flexible, solution-oriented, collaborative mindset.
• Ability to communicate effectively with executive audiences and support senior leadership decision making on risk.
• Experience building scalable legal and compliance frameworks, policies, and best practices.
• Up-to-date understanding of the key legal issues germane to an insurance organization.

Responsabilidades

• Provide legal counsel to senior leadership, including the carrier's executive team, to support objectives and mitigate regulatory risk.
• Lead and develop the Insurance legal and compliance team, setting priorities and supporting hiring.
• Own complex strategic legal and regulatory initiatives aligned to company strategy.
• Prepare and review insurance filings including quarterly/annual reports and governance documents.
• Lead Insurance division secretarial duties, including materials for Board/Committee meetings.
• Collaborate with Finance, Product, Compliance, and Claims to drive outcomes.
• Monitor changes in laws/regulations and advise leadership timely.
• Build and maintain Insurance legal/compliance framework and governance playbooks.
• Manage outside counsel to obtain legal advice.
