Job summary

Responsibilities include monthly closes, budgeting, tax reporting, and safeguarding assets. Requires 5+ years in insurance accounting; CPA preferred and INS designation. Base salary range $92,000–$171,000 with discretionary bonus and full benefits.

Qualifications

• Advanced knowledge of reinsurance, GL, statutory and GAAP reporting.
• Five+ years of accounting experience in an insurance environment.
• CPA preferred or advanced insurance accounting education (AIAF, CPCU) and INS designation.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily, weekly and monthly accounting tasks and financial reporting.
• Safeguard company assets and ensure regulatory compliance.
• Lead monthly/quarterly close, reconciliations and SOX compliance; manage budgeting process.
• Prepare GAAP financials and provide reports to WRBC and auditors.
• Support CFO and act as backup for Finance department operations.
• Monitor and provide tax reports and calculations as needed.
