Job summary

MSI invites motivated, academically driven students local to Tampa, FL, to join a 10-week Summer MSI Insurance Claims Rotational Internship Program. You will gain hands-on experience from FNOL to coverage determinations, participate in system updates, data reporting, and rotations across leadership and QI teams.

The program emphasizes mentorship, technology integration, and practical insight into how claims and insurance operate within a dynamic environment.

Qualifications

Enrolled in a college program focused on risk management or a related field, local to Tampa.
Demonstrated passion for risk management and insurance.
Excellent communication, analytical and problem-solving abilities.
Ability to collaborate effectively in a team and work independently when needed.

Responsibilities

Provide support across the claims process starting with FNOL.
Assist with system updates, integrations, and implementation projects within the claims department.
Help build and develop new reports to support data and analytics initiatives.
Develop new processes and tools to drive efficiencies.
Complete rotations with leadership, operations/support, training, and QI.
Assist in reviewing and analyzing claim forms, policies, endorsements, and other records to understand coverage determinations.
Assist with special projects as assigned by management.
