Qualifications

• Coordinate property and liability insurance claims from initial reporting through closure.
• Review incident reports, insurance documents, leases, contracts, claims, summons, complaints, and compliance-related materials.
• Communicate with property managers, adjusters, brokers, claimants, and internal stakeholders to support timely claim resolution.
• Track claims activity, analyze trends, and provide recommendations to support risk mitigation and loss prevention.
• High school diploma or GED required.
• At least 2 years of related experience required.
• 3 to 5 years of relevant administrative, insurance claims, risk management, property management, or related experience preferred for success in this role.
• Ability to read, interpret, and analyze complex documents, including insurance policies, certificates of insurance, contracts, leases, regulatory agreements, and legal notices.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to explain complex claim or compliance information clearly.
• Highly organized, dependable, self-motivated, and able to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
• Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with cross-functional teams.
• Comfortable learning and using Microsoft Teams, Smartsheet, and property management or reporting systems.
• Able to sit and work at a computer for extended periods.
• Willing and able to work outside normal business hours when needed, including occasional after-hours or weekend travel to properties for insurance claim support.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the primary contact for reporting and coordinating property and liability insurance claims.
• Review incident reports, legal claims, and related documentation for accuracy, completeness, and potential claim activity.
• Coordinate with insurance brokers, claims adjusters, property managers, and internal stakeholders throughout the claims process.
• Track claims, incident reports, legal matters, reimbursements, and related documentation while identifying trends and loss prevention opportunities.
• Support displaced resident processes by calculating allowances, coordinating temporary housing resources, tracking expenses, and submitting insured costs for recovery.
• Maintain organized digital and hard copy files, prepare insurance documentation, and support administrative tasks related to claims, audits, payments, and renewals.
