Job summary

HOMELINK, a business unit of VGM Group, seeks an insurance specialist for Waterloo, IA. This contract role focuses on communications with insurance companies to collect payments and file claims, primarily via email and fax, with some phone work. The 90-day assignment may extend through year-end.

Office-based, desk-focused work with strong attention to detail and customer service is required. Daily duties include reviewing orders, pursuing payments, resolving denials, submitting documentation,

Qualifications

• High School diploma/GED.
• Strong customer service skills via phone and email.
• Excellent attention to detail.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Excel, SharePoint) in an office setting.

Responsibilities

• Review orders to ensure accuracy of codes, quantity, and pricing.
• Follow-up with insurance companies to obtain payment for services rendered.
• Resolve denials by requesting additional documentation and resubmitting claims.
• Prepare and submit documentation to increase likelihood of claims payment.
• Answer questions from providers, patients, and insurance companies.
• Understand contract-specific billing and paying procedures.
• Identify and resolve collection issues.
• Process adjustments and refund requests.
• Print, organize, and mail hard copy claims.
• Follow up on claims per department protocols.
• Utilize software platforms including Viper and Microsoft apps.
