Job summary

RT Specialty, a division of Ryan Specialty, seeks an Associate Broker to manage day-to-day client service, policy administration, and underwriting support. You will work with the Broker and carrier contacts to ensure accuracy and timely responses, building trust and delivering exceptional service.

The role emphasizes accuracy, proactive communication, and the ability to balance multiple priorities in a fast-paced wholesale brokerage environment. Strong insurance knowledge is essential.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of commercial insurance experience in wholesale or retail brokerage, underwriting, or client service.
• Strong knowledge of commercial insurance coverages and policy structure.
• Excellent organizational skills with high attention to detail.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities while maintaining accuracy.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Comfortable speaking with clients, underwriters, and partners by phone and video.
• Strong critical-thinking and problem-solving abilities.
• Sound judgment in decision-making.

Responsibilities

• Serve as a primary point of contact for clients, carriers, and partners for policy servicing needs.
• Communicate with clients and underwriters to gather information, resolve issues, and ensure timely follow-up.
• Participate in renewal discussions and carrier calls with the Broker, gradually taking more ownership.
• Build relationships that promote trust, responsiveness, and long-term retention.
