Brown & Brown is seeking an Assistant Broker to join our growing team in Sewickley, PA. The role supports clerical, administrative processes and management of the Underwriter/Broker’s book of business for renewals and new business.

You will contribute by preparing documentation for risk acceptance, collaborating with the underwriter, determining insurance amounts, ensuring filings, and maintaining market knowledge to negotiate placements.

Qualifikationen

• Minimum education: High School Diploma or GED.
• Proficient with MS Office Suite.
• 1–2 years’ experience in a similar position.
• Working towards or holds a valid P&C license.
• Associate or bachelor’s degree in an insurance or accounting related discipline (preferred).

Aufgaben

• Completes and files documentation required for risk acceptance determination.
• Collaborates with Underwriter/Broker with regards to unusual coverage.
• Determines amount of insurance in force on single risk or group of closely related risks.
• Confirms appropriate filings in accordance with applicable regulations.
• Maintains knowledge of all markets available to maximize opportunities to negotiate placements.
• Verify complete and proper coding.
• Compliance with Quality Control guidelines.
