Job summary

Bridge Specialty Group, part of Brown & Brown, seeks an Assistant Broker to join our growing team. The role includes completing and filing risk documentation, collaborating with underwriters on unusual coverage, determining insurance amounts for risks, ensuring regulatory filings, and negotiating market placements.

Ideal candidates have a high school diploma or GED, 1–2 years of related experience, and preferably an insurance or accounting degree; a P&C license is preferred or in progress.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Proficient with MS Office Suite.
• Exceptional telephone demeanor.
• Ability to maintain a high level of confidentiality.
• 1–2 years’ experience in a similar position.
• Associate or bachelor’s degree in an insurance or accounting related discipline preferred.

Responsibilities

• Completes and files documentation required for risk acceptance determination.
• Collaborates with Underwriter/Broker with regards to unusual coverage.
• Determines amount of insurance in force on single risk or group of closely related risks.
• Confirms appropriate filings in accordance with applicable regulations.
• Maintains knowledge of all markets available to maximize opportunities to negotiate placements.
• Verify complete and proper coding.
• Compliance with Quality Control guidelines.
