SGMC Health is seeking an Insurance Analyst in the Accounting department on a full-time basis. The role oversees the hospital's insurance and medical malpractice portfolio, coordinating renewals, managing claims reporting, and acting as the liaison between leadership, carriers, and brokers.
Strong Excel skills and confidentiality are essential. Minimum 3 years in healthcare insurance or risk management, with a Bachelor’s degree in business admin or finance.

The Insurance Analyst is responsible forthe day-to-dayoversight andmanagementof theHealth System’sinsurance and medical malpracticeportfolio. Coordination of annual renewals, oversee claims reporting and tracking, and serves as the primary contact between leadership, insurance carriers, brokers, and third-party administrators.Timely reporting of incidents such as auto, hurricane, fire, and other property or liability events toensureconsistencywhile supporting the organization’s overall risk management strategy.
Comfortable indoor office environment with the majority of work being sedentary and completed at a computer. Minimal lifting, up to ten pounds, occasional standing, bending, stooping, reaching. Occasional weekend and extended hour work days may be required for special projects and time of high volume. Minimal travel by personal vehicle will be required.
