SGMC Health is seeking an Insurance Analyst on the Main Campus in the Accounting department. The role focuses on the day-to-day oversight of the organization’s insurance and medical malpractice portfolios, coordinating renewals, and managing claims reporting.
The ideal candidate will have a bachelor’s degree in business or finance and at least 3 years of healthcare insurance or risk management experience, strong Excel skills, and excellent communication and teamwork abilities.

The Insurance Analyst is responsible forthe day-to-dayoversight andmanagementof theHealth System’sinsurance and medical malpracticeportfolio. Coordination of annual renewals, oversee claims reporting and tracking, and serves as the primary contact between leadership, insurance carriers, brokers, and third-party administrators.Timely reporting of incidents such as auto, hurricane, fire, and other property or liability events toensureconsistencywhile supporting the organization’s overall risk management strategy.
Comfortable indoor office environment with the majority of work being sedentary and completed at a computer. Minimal lifting, up to ten pounds, occasional standing, bending, stooping, reaching. Occasional weekend and extended hour work days may be required for special projects and time of high volume. Minimal travel by personal vehicle will be required.
