Job summary

MathCo is seeking a commercially minded Pharma and Life Sciences Customer Success Consultant to drive account growth, strengthen strategic client relationships, and oversee the success of key engagements across pharmaceutical and biotech clients.

This role serves as a trusted advisor to senior stakeholders, translating business priorities into MathCo’s analytics, AI, GenAI, and data solutions, with emphasis on revenue expansion, delivery quality, and long-term partnerships.

Qualifications

  • 8-12 years of experience in consulting, AI, analytics, digital transformation, or related areas, with demonstrated experience leading complex client engagements.
  • 5+ years of experience leading enterprise analytics or AI programs for insurance clients.
  • Strong understanding of the insurance value chain and key concepts across pricing, renewals, underwriting, persistency and retention, risk segmentation, loss ratios, profitability, and portfolio management.
  • Demonstrated experience working with actuaries, underwriters, pricing, analytics, and technology stakeholders within insurance organizations.
  • Experience leading enterprise AI, advanced analytics, or data-driven transformation programs from business problem definition through implementation, production deployment, and adoption.
  • Strong executive communication, stakeholder management, problem-solving, and client relationship management skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to navigate ambiguity, manage competing priorities, resolve escalations, and drive complex engagements to successful outcomes.
  • Experience managing large-scale consulting engagements, including scope, timelines, resources, risks, and commercial commitments.
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics, Actuarial Science, or related discipline.
  • Master's degree in a relevant quantitative or business discipline is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Lead enterprise AI and advanced analytics engagements for insurance clients from discovery and solution design through implementation, production deployment, and adoption.
  • Serve as the primary engagement lead and build trusted relationships with senior stakeholders across Pricing, Underwriting, Actuarial, Analytics, and Technology.
  • Translate complex insurance business challenges into well-defined analytical and AI problem statements in partnership with business and technical teams.
  • Define engagement scope, roadmaps, delivery milestones, governance mechanisms, success metrics, and expected business outcomes.
  • Lead multidisciplinary teams including Data Scientists, Data Engineers, ML Engineers, Application Developers, Business Analysts, and domain specialists.
  • Provide delivery oversight across predictive modeling, optimization, data engineering, MLOps, and application development workstreams.
  • Facilitate discussions on analytical methodologies, assumptions, constraints, model outputs, and business implications with technical and domain stakeholders.
  • Ensure analytical recommendations are explainable, commercially relevant, and aligned with actuarial, pricing, and underwriting decision processes.
  • Drive business adoption through solution demonstrations, executive presentations, working sessions, UAT, pilots, and change-management activities.
  • Proactively manage scope, timelines, resources, dependencies, delivery risks, stakeholder concerns, and escalations.
  • Ensure alignment between client stakeholders and internal delivery teams throughout the engagement lifecycle.
  • Identify adjacent opportunities where AI and advanced analytics can deliver additional business value and drive account growth.
  • Support solution design, proposal development, client presentations, and broader business development initiatives.
