Role Description

The Insurance Agent role is a full-time, on-site position based in Sylva, NC. The Insurance Agent will meet with prospective and existing clients to assess their needs, explain insurance options, and recommend suitable products and coverage levels. Daily responsibilities include generating and following up on leads, preparing quotes, processing applications, and maintaining accurate policy records. The agent will provide ongoing customer service by answering questions, assisting with policy changes, and supporting clients through the claims process. The role also involves collaborating with team members, staying current on company offerings and industry regulations, and participating in local community and business development activities.

Qualifications

• Demonstrated skills in Insurance Sales, including prospecting, consultative selling, and closing new business.
• Knowledge of Insurance products and practices, with experience in Insurance Brokerage or similar environments.
• Understanding of Finance principles relevant to premiums, coverage limits, and risk assessment.
• Strong Customer Service skills, with the ability to build lasting relationships and handle inquiries and concerns professionally.
• Effective written and verbal communication skills and the ability to explain complex information in clear, accessible terms.
• Organizational and time-management skills to handle multiple clients, policies, and deadlines.
• Comfort with basic computer systems and insurance-related software for quoting, documentation, and reporting.
• High level of integrity, reliability, and commitment to serving the local community.
• Prior experience in insurance or financial services is preferred; sales or customer-facing experience is beneficial.
