Job summary

Jobtailor is seeking an Insurance Claims Adjuster to evaluate and process insurance claims in Chandler, AZ. You will review claims for accuracy, determine coverage, and communicate settlements to customers, while maintaining detailed case documentation.

The role requires a high school diploma, an active Insurance Adjuster License, and at least 1 year of customer service experience. You will work with internal teams and external partners to ensure timely resolutions and compliance with state

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or GED.
  • Insurance Adjuster License required; licensing exam passed and licensed in applicable states.
  • Eligible to obtain and maintain all licenses required to perform essential functions.
  • Minimum of one year of customer service or related experience.
  • Strong customer service, communication, and organizational skills.
  • Computer literacy in Windows; MS Office including Outlook, Excel, Word.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing processes, systems, and business needs.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Ability to learn new technologies, systems, and procedures.
  • Ability to handle routine responsibilities while remaining flexible and responsive to changing priorities.
  • Successful completion of all required training programs.
  • Preferred: Associate's or Bachelor's degree.
  • Preferred: Active Adjuster License.
  • Preferred: Prior claims adjusting, investigation, or claims resolution experience.
  • Preferred: Property & Casualty insurance claims.
  • Preferred: Knowledge of insurance policy interpretation, claims handling practices, and applicable state regulations.
  • Preferred: Experience using claims management systems and industry-related software.
  • Preferred: Two or more years of customer service experience.
  • Preferred: Prior military experience.

Responsibilities

  • Investigate, evaluate, and process low to moderately complex insurance claims
  • Review claim information for accuracy, completeness, and coverage applicability
  • Process claim payments and communicate claim decisions and settlements to customers

  • Contribute to departmental goals, performance metrics, and customer satisfaction objectives
  • Utilize technology, systems, and claim management tools to support workflow efficiency
  • Support workload surges, special projects, and catastrophe operations as needed, including working overtime during designated catastrophe events
  • Develop and apply knowledge of insurance products, policy contracts, coverages, claim handling procedures, and applicable regulations
  • Provide professional and empathetic customer service during potentially stressful claim situations
  • Adhere to company standards for quality, compliance, attendance, and conduct
