Job summary

Pivotal Solutions seeks an Accounting Manager/Controller to oversee day-to-day accounting for an insurance organization. This role supports the Controller in financial reporting, regulatory compliance, and internal controls, collaborating with finance, underwriting, and claims teams.

The ideal candidate brings deep insurance accounting experience, SAP knowledge, and strong technical skills in GAAP. You will help prepare financial statements and management reports while driving process

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• 5-7 years of progressive accounting experience.
• Experience with statutory reporting and insurance accounting is required.
• Strong knowledge of GAAP and SAP.
• Proficiency in NetSuite or other ERP/accounting systems; advanced Excel skills.

Responsibilities

• Assist in month-, quarter-, and year-end close to ensure accurate reporting.
• Prepare journal entries, reconciliations, and schedules for GAAP and statutory reporting.
• Support quarterly and annual statements including NAIC filings and regulatory submissions.
• Assist in analyses of financial statements and management reports.
• Ensure accuracy of general ledger activity and sub-ledgers.
