Job summary

PruittHealth is seeking a Senior Insurance Accountant to perform complex accounting, financial reporting, and analysis for Health, PGL, and Workers' Compensation lines. The role ensures GAAP and statutory reporting accuracy and NAIC compliance while coordinating with actuarial, underwriting, and claims teams.

Responsibilities include month-end close, premium accounting, loss reserve analysis, and preparation of regulatory schedules. Strong internal controls and mentorship of staff are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field is required.
• Progressive insurance accounting experience is required.
• Health, PGL, and Workers' Compensation experience or Property Causality and General Liability is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Prepares and reviews GAAP and statutory financial statements.
• Performs premium accounting for Health, PGL, and Workers' Compensation.
• Records and analyzes loss reserves with actuarial coordination.
• Prepares statutory schedules and exhibits for filings and regulatory reporting.
• Accounts for reinsurance transactions and loss development.
• Performs month-end close, journal entries, reconciliations, and variance analysis.
• Supports audits and regulatory examinations.
• Maintains internal controls and accounting policies for accuracy.
• Collaborates with underwriting, claims, actuarial, and operations teams.
