Job summary

BroadStreet Partners, Inc. is seeking an Accounting Manager to lead the Accounting department for our growing insurance agency. You will supervise the Insurance Accounting and General Ledger teams, manage the month-end close, and drive accurate financial reporting.

The role emphasizes leadership, coaching, and process improvement, with a focus on ownership and accuracy across the close cycle and financial statements.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field is required.
• Proven leadership experience with staff coaching and performance reviews.
• Strong accounting background with process improvement abilities.
• Experience in agency accounting preferred (agency bill/direct bill).

Responsibilities

• Lead, coach, and develop the Insurance Accounting team and Accounts Payable Specialist.
• Own the month-end close, journal entries, accruals, and balance sheet reconciliations.
• Oversee AP/AR processes, carrier remittances, and fiduciary funds handling.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve issues and support strategic initiatives.
• Maintain internal controls and assist with budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting.
