Job summary

Hanscom Federal Credit Union & Fleetwood Insurance Group is seeking an Account Manager to manage assigned accounts, analyze risks, advise on coverage, and deliver exceptional service to members.

You will collaborate with carriers, prepare submissions and renewals, and help clients understand coverage options. A Maryland Property & Casualty license is required; the role is office-based in Maryland with growth opportunities.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years of Personal/Commercial Lines account management, underwriting, sales or related insurance experience.
• Experience advising clients and working with multiple insurance carriers.
• Strong knowledge of Personal/Commercial Lines P&C coverages, forms and endorsements.
• Ability to analyze complex risk and recommend solutions.
• Excellent client consultation and written/verbal communication skills.
• Strong organizational and time-management abilities.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office; Applied Epic experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the primary insurance advisor for assigned accounts, meeting client needs with professional judgement.
• Analyze client risks, coverage gaps, and renewal options; identify gaps or exposures.
• Evaluate coverage options, terms, limits, deductibles, endorsements, and premiums with carriers.
• Advise clients on coverage alternatives and risk tradeoffs; recommend solutions.
• Prequalify and rate new business, prepare submissions, and select markets.
• Review renewals and determine whether to renew, remarket or modify coverage.
• Use discretion to negotiate with carriers and clients within agency authority.
• Counsel clients on policy changes, endorsements and coverage implications.
• Identify opportunities to expand client coverage and make referrals as needed.
• Guide clients on claims reporting procedures and policy provisions.
• Document discussions and recommendations; maintain client files.
• Maintain professional competence through continuing education and carrier resources.
• Follow laws, agency policies, and Fleetwood standards.
