Job summary

CommonSail Investment Group is hiring a Qualified Medication Aide (QMA) Insulin Certified for StoryPoint Schererville, IN. The role requires CMA certification, CPR/First Aid, and TB clearance, with daily 6:30 AM–6:30 PM shifts.

You will assist residents with daily medications and general care in a senior living setting. Eligible applicants should have a high school diploma or GED and prior elder-care experience.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Previous healthcare or elder care experience preferred.
• Aptitude for dementia-related situations.
• Must have CMA certification.
• Must have CPR and First Aid certification.
• TB clearance required.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and administer medication and treatments as ordered by physician in accordance with policy and procedures.
• Verify identity of resident before administering medication or treatment.
• Follow hand-washing policy for medication passing, universal precautions and infection control.
• Maintain medication records and organize cart and supplies.
• Report all discrepancies to supervisor and document important events per policy.
