Job summary

StoryPoint Schererville is seeking a Qualified Medication Aide (QMA) who is insulin certified to join our care team. This full-time day-shift position responsibilities include administering medications and supporting residents with daily living activities.

You must hold a valid CMA license, CPR/First Aid, and TB clearance. A high school diploma or GED is required; previous geriatrics or caregiving experience is preferred. Excellent patience and communication are essential.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• CMA certification required.
• Current CPR and First Aid certification required.
• TB clearance required.
• Experience with geriatrics or caregiving preferred.
• Must be at least 18 years old.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and administer medication and treatments as ordered by physician per policy.
• Verify resident identity before medication administration.
• Maintain medication records and ensure accuracy during shifts.
• Chart and document important events per community policy.
• Assist residents with activities of daily living and dining support.
• Report discrepancies and changes to the supervisor promptly.
• Maintain clean, sanitary work areas and observe infection control.
