Job summary

Chemelex in the United States is seeking an experienced Insulation Journeyman to install and remove insulation and jacketing on piping and equipment in petrochemical environments. You will work on site at various job locations and travel up to 90% of the time.

Applicants must provide their own tools, have a high school diploma or GED, prefer NCCER certifications, and be able to lift up to 50 lb, work from elevations, and communicate effectively with management and teams.

Qualifications

• Minimum of a High School Diploma, GED or equivalent.
• NCCER Certifications preferred but not required.
• Minimum 4 years experience; preferably in manufacturing or industrial facilities.
• Motivated self-starter capable of working independently and efficiently.
• Ability to write legible, routine correspondence and to speak effectively with management and other Chemelex employees.
• Knowledge of industrial electricity issues.
• Works well within teams.
• 90% travel to job sites around the country.

Responsibilities

• Install and remove insulation and jacketing on piping and equipment in the petrochemical industry.
• Lift 50 lb boxes as part of job duties and handle materials on site.
• Work from elevated heights using mobile lifting equipment as required.
