Job summary

Rolls-Royce in Indianapolis, IN is seeking an Instrumentation Engineering Technician to fabricate and apply sensors for test hardware and manage measurement systems. You will route leads, terminate sensors, and support engine test setups and troubleshooting.

Qualifications

Associates degree in Engineering/Engineering Technology/Electronics or Aviation with 4+ years in technical roles.
Bachelor's degree in Engineering/ET/Electronics/Aviation with 2+ years in technical roles.
Master's degree in Engineering/ET/Electronics/Aviation.
PhD/Masters degree in Engineering/ET/Electronics/Aviation.
In lieu of a degree, 6+ years of technical experience.
Must be eligible for US security clearance and be a US citizen.

Responsibilities

Fabricate and apply sensors to test hardware; route leads and terminate sensors.
Set up and operate measurement and recording systems; monitor and troubleshoot instrumentation.
Provide engineering design support; develop sensor application techniques and installation plans.
Write procedures to improve efficiency and capture lessons learned; train junior technicians.
Work independently or as part of a team; act as a specialist based on experience.
Travel up to 15% for off-site instrumentation and test support; represent Rolls-Royce with customers.
