Job summary

Dominion Energy is seeking a motivated Instrument Technician Intern to support operations and maintenance at Gravel Neck Generating Station in Surry, VA. Working with experienced technicians, you will gain hands-on experience with instrumentation and control systems used to monitor and operate power generation equipment.

Qualifications

• Enrolled in an Associate’s degree program related to instrumentation/engineering tech.
• Must graduate Fall 2028 or 2029.
• GPA 3.0 or higher required.

Responsibilities

• Assist with equipment inspections and preventive maintenance.
• Collect data, test and troubleshoot instrumentation.
• Update documentation and support calibration of instruments (flow meters, transmitters, sensors).
• Follow safety procedures and work instructions.
• Basic proficiency with Microsoft Office applications.
