Job summary

Keystone Powdered Metal Company, a Sumitomo Electric Group company, is seeking an Instrument Technician for our St. Marys, PA location. The role reports to the Maintenance Manager and involves programming, calibration, and installation of control systems.

Qualified candidates have at least 2 years of electrical education or equivalent experience, knowledge of NEC, and understanding of programmable logic. We emphasize safety, accuracy, and continuous improvement in a hands-on work environment.

Qualifications

• Must have a minimum of 2 years of electrical education or equivalent industrial experience.
• Must be able to perform work using trade knowledge within the National Electrical Code.
• Must understand programmable controller logic and circuitry.
• Understands decimals, fractions, percentages, averages, etc. and higher levels of math such as trigonometry.

Responsibilities

• Layout and modify control circuits and write or install programs.
• Install, maintain, and remove control circuitry safely and efficiently.
• Maintain instrumentation for presses, ovens, and other plant equipment.
• Record and maintain product/process information, including changes.
• Communicate job-related information to colleagues and supervisors.
