Job summary

Keystone Powdered Metal Company, a Sumitomo Electric Group company, is seeking an Instrument Technician for its St. Marys, PA location.

This role reports to the Maintenance Manager and involves layout of control circuits, programming, and maintenance of plant instrumentation. The ideal candidate has at least 2 years of electrical education or equivalent experience, knowledge of NEC / programmable controllers, and solid math skills.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of electrical education or equivalent industrial experience.
• Must understand programmable controller logic and circuitry.
• Understands decimals, fractions, percentages, averages, etc., and higher levels of math such as trig.

Responsibilities

• Layout and modify control circuits and write or install programs.
• Install, maintain, and/or remove control circuitry safely.
• Maintain instrumentation and programming maintenance (meters, alarms, power supplies, checkers, sorters, temperature controls).
• Record and maintain product/process information including print and design changes.
• Use measuring equipment to ensure continuation of control conditions.
• Contribute to continuous process improvement.
• Communicate job-related information to team members and supervisors.
• Maintain cooperative relationships with other functions.
• Attend reliably and perform other tasks as requested.
