Job description

Keystone Powdered Metal Company, part of Sumitomo Electric Group, is seeking a full‑time Manufacturing Engineering Technician for the 2nd or 3rd shift at our St. Marys, PA location. This position reports to the Supervisor of Manufacturing Engineering.

Job Duties and Responsibilities

• Provide hands‑on training to Die Setter trainees.
• Involved in product development, including establishing and targeting processing parameters, product design suggestions, tool design suggestions, and program interface understanding of testing requirements and results.
• Continuous scrap reduction.
• Involved in equipment development.
• Involved in machine start‑up and initial troubleshooting.
• Evaluate machine performance and provide design suggestions.
• Address engineering/technical issues on existing product.
• Perform set‑up of molding and sizing presses for samples and production parts as needed.
• Provide technical advice during the quoting process.
• Troubleshoot existing product and equipment.
• Adjust process control parameters to achieve a more robust process.
