Job summary

BCP Engineers & Consultants is seeking an Instrument Technician for a long-term assignment in Houston, TX. The role focuses on maintaining and calibrating instrumentation across refinery, LNG, oil, gas, and power facilities. Strong diagnostic skills and the ability to read technical manuals are required.

Responsibilities include diagnosing faults, performing routine testing, and ensuring safety and efficiency through proper upgrades and documentation. Travel expenses are covered where applicable.

Qualifications

• Install, calibrate, and maintain electric, electronic, mechanical, and pneumatic instruments and control systems.
• Diagnose and troubleshoot faults in instrumentation and control systems.
• Perform regular tests and inspections to ensure optimal operation and accuracy.
• Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical manuals.
• Recommend modifications or upgrades to improve safety, quality, and efficiency.
• Document all work performed, including repairs, parts used, and calibration results.
