Job summary

Par Pacific seeks an Instrumentation/Analyzer Technician to troubleshoot, install, calibrate and repair instrumentation across refinery systems. You will work with pneumatic and electronic transmitters, controllers, valves, PLCs and process control systems.

You will support safety procedures, MOC controls and major maintenance events while ensuring reliable operations and effective communication with teams.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required
• Minimum of 3 years of mechanic and /or electrical experience required
• Demonstrated working knowledge of 4-20 mA current loops required
• Strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting ability with instrumentation knowledge
• Effective communication with team members and operations personnel
• Ability to follow written procedures and safety requirements
• Ability to safely perform basic electrical troubleshooting on AC/DC circuits
• Read and interpret electrical drawings, wiring diagrams, loop sheets, manufacturer guides
• Document completed work and test results clearly

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot, test, install, repair and calibrate flow, pressure, level and temperature transmitters and controllers
• Operate and repair control valves, transducers, alarms, PLCs and Honeywell process control systems
• Inspect, monitor and repair equipment in assigned areas; ensure safe, reliable operations
• Calibrate and maintain field analyzers including CEMs and process control equipment
• Support unit start-up and shutdown during major maintenance events
• Follow safety procedures and MOC program during installation of new equipment
