Gowan Milling Blytheville - Instrumentation Technician

Gowan Milling Blytheville is seeking an Instrumentation Technician at our Blytheville facility. This role reports directly to the Engineering Supervisor.

Job Responsibilities:

1. Maintain all plant process control and instrumentation systems.
2. Implement and oversee preventive maintenance programs for process control and instrumentation systems.
3. Program and maintain the PBX, process information network, and associated wiring and equipment.
4. Support system start-up procedures.
5. Calibrate electronic and pneumatic instrumentation, both in the field and control room, including installation of instrument loops.
6. Receive, inventory, and catalog instruments for calibration according to the construction schedule.
7. Set up calibration and loop files.
8. Check the installation of instrument loops.
9. Coordinate and assist in loop checks, including checkout with computer systems as required.
10. Maintain installation and completion records.
11. Keep loop drawings, install air and control tubing, and follow start-up procedures.
12. Inspect meters, indicators, and gauges for abnormal fluctuations.
13. Test the accuracy of flow meters, pressure gauges, temperature indicators, controllers, and other instruments to identify defective components.
14. Remove, decontaminate, disassemble, clean, and replace defective instruments and parts.
15. Lubricate instruments and replace faulty wiring and tubing.
16. Assist in start-up procedures, ensuring all systems operate correctly.
17. Perform additional duties as needed.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Basic education in Electrical, Electronics, or related fields, or equivalent experience.
• At least 3 years of experience in a similar role or related field.
