Job summary

City-of-Coco is seeking a skilled instrument and control technician to install, test, repair, calibrate, and maintain metering, recording instruments, sensing devices, and telemetry systems. You will work closely with SCADA Analysts and Industrial Electricians to complete preventive and reactive maintenance tasks on-site.

Typical duties include calibrating signals (digital/analog and 4-20 mA), servicing radar sensors, Mag Meters, valves and chlorine/feed equipment, and preparing schematic

Qualifications

• Associate’s degree in Mathematics, Physics or Instrument/Controls Technology or 3 years of related experience.
• Experience with calibrated metering instruments and telemetry systems.
• PLC knowledge and ability to work with digital/analog controls.
• Ability to read specifications and schematics.

Responsibilities

• Install, maintain, repair, calibrate and test industrial instruments and sensors.
• Calibrate signals, including digital/analog and 4–20 mA.
• Inspect and repair valves, sensors, drives and pressure sensors.
• Prepare schematic drawings and work with outside contractors as needed.
• Majority of duties performed on-site; respond to emergencies when needed.
