Job summary

Severn Trent is seeking an Instrumentation and Electrical Control Technician to ensure efficiency across the business. You will support Water Services Contracts and central functions, assist electricians with fault finding, and commission small-scale installations.

The role involves maintaining instrumentation and telemetry systems while working from home territory with a company van, fuel card, and development opportunities.

Qualifications

• Experience in Instrumentation, SCADA and PLC software/hardware.
• Engineering qualification level 3+ or equivalent experience in Electrical/Control systems.
• 18th Edition and Compex desirable.
• Full UK driving licence is required.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical support to Water Services Contracts and central functions to ensure compliance with company standards.
• Support electricians with fault finding on advanced systems and commissioning small-scale installations.
• Maintain and install instrumentation and telemetry systems to meet business needs.
• Cover the southern half of the patch; hours 8:00–16:00, Mon–Fri, with a company van and fuel card.
