Job summary

ABB in Bartlesville, OK seeks an Instrumentation R&D Manager to lead a globally distributed team delivering flow computers and remote controllers. You will drive product development, quality processes, and roadmap alignment with Product Management.

Youll report to the Global Instrumentation Technology Manager and oversee NPI execution, cross-functional collaboration, and supplier/manufacturing interfaces to ensure on-time, on-budget delivery.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering is required; Master's or Doctorate in Engineering is preferred.
• 12+ years of industry experience including R&D management or project management of large R&D projects.
• 5+ years of senior-level people management and technology management experience.
• Strong collaborative and communication skills to align peers and multiple stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Acquiring and developing competences in the R&D team, attracting and retaining talents for future products and long-term strategy.
• Ensuring timely and on-budget execution of R&D projects with required quality standards.
• Working with Product Management to define product and technology development roadmap and optimize project portfolio.
• Ensuring smooth cooperation with other R&D teams globally and sharing results and best practices.
• Supporting manufacturing and service to understand root causes and solve quality issues, enabling smooth NPI execution.
