Job summary

ABB is seeking an Instrumentation Technical Support and Training professional to partner with customers for successful deployment, operation, and maintenance of ABB products. You will provide expert support, perform remote and on-site services, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve complex issues and grow the service business.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering or related field required.
• Experience troubleshooting hardware, software, systems, or instrumentation equipment.
• Strong problem-solving and root-cause analysis skills.
• Excellent customer-facing communication and relationship management (English).
• Willingness to travel up to 15% domestically.
• Authorized to work in the US.

Responsibilities

• Provide expert technical support for ABB's full Instrumentation Portfolio, including startup, troubleshooting, maintenance, and issue resolution.
• Deliver remote and on-site field service support for deployments and readiness.
• Own incidents and escalations, communicate status, root causes, and corrective actions.
• Build customer relationships as a trusted technical advisor and deliver training guidance.
• Collaborate with R&D, Manufacturing, Product Management, Logistics, Sales, and Services to resolve issues and improve products.
• Document knowledge, create self-service content, and advocate for product enhancements.
