Job summary

LyondellBasell Industries operates the Louisiana Integrated Polyethylene JV in Westlake, LA. The Electrical Specialist role supports the Maintenance Department by providing field technical support, planning energy isolation procedures, coordinating electrical testing, and assisting in-house maintenance with advanced troubleshooting of complex control strategies.

The position collaborates with Operations, Electrical Engineers, HSE, Capital Projects and Turnaround to achieve site objectives.

Qualifications

High School Diploma or GED required.
NETA Level 2 / NCCER / Associates in Electrical or equivalent.
7–10 years of relay protection, electrical testing and troubleshooting experience.

Responsibilities

Plan and execute large-scale energy isolation procedures.
Coordinate with craft and specialty contractors for electrical testing and inspection.
Support in-house electrical maintenance with advanced troubleshooting of complex control strategies.
Provide technical support for Operations, Electrical Engineers, Maintenance, HSE, Capital Projects and Turnaround.
Develop strategies to upgrade electrical equipment to meet changing needs.
Assist with BOMs for electrical equipment in SAP.
