Job summary

The Electrical Specialist position at LyondellBasell Industries is part of the Maintenance Department in Westlake, LA. You will support Maintenance Technicians, plan energy isolation procedures, and coordinate electrical testing with contractors to ensure reliability and safe operation.

You will assist Operations, Electrical Engineers, HSE, and Capital Projects in achieving site goals, while applying advanced troubleshooting to high voltage systems and complex control strategies.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 7-10 years of Relay Protection Scheme/ Electrical Testing/Troubleshooting experience
• Completion of relevant recognized program in electrical field
• English language required; additional language preferred

Responsibilities

• Plan and execute large scale energy isolation procedures
• Coordinate with craft and specialty contractors for electrical testing and inspection
• Provide technical support for Operations, Electrical Engineers, Maintenance, HSE and Turnaround
• Troubleshoot and maintain electrical equipment from transformers to VFDs
• Develop strategies to upgrade electrical equipment to meet changing needs
