Job summary

Air Liquide seeks an Instrumentation and Electrical Technician to support and maintain cryogenic production systems at our Plaquemine, LA facility. You will calibrate instrumentation, repair PLCs and control devices, and document activities in the CMMS to ensure safe, reliable operations.

Ideal candidates have 2+ years in I&E, strong problem-solving and communication skills, and the ability to work on-call and travel between sites as required.

Qualifications

• Minimum high school diploma or equivalent.
• Minimum 2 years I&E experience; plant environment preferred.
• Knowledge of CMMS usage and documentation.
• Ability to calibrate analyzers, transmitters, valves, etc.
• Strong basic understanding of MCC/switchgear and control systems.
• Excellent verbal and written communication; able to operate forklift.

Responsibilities

• Support operation, start-up, and shutdown of compressors and related cryogenic systems.
• Calibrate and maintain instrumentation on production plants and gas delivery systems.
• Repair instruments, PLCs, sensors, and control interfaces; tune control loops.
• Document work in CMMS and maintain calibration records.
• Coordinate with contractors, monitor work quality, and ensure safety standards.
• Be on-call and travel to other sites as needed.
