Job summary

Air Liquide Geismar, LA is seeking an I&E Maintenance Technician to ensure day-to-day maintenance and reliable operation of instrumentation, analyzers, and electrical systems at a water plant site.

You will calibrate instrumentation on production plants, repair PLCs and control interfaces, troubleshoot control systems, and coordinate with contractors while maintaining CMMS records and spare parts inventories.

Qualifications

• Minimum high school diploma or equivalent.
• Strong verbal & written communication skills.
• Highly organized with the ability to handle multiple tasks & prioritize work.

Responsibilities

• Calibrate and maintain instrumentation on production plants, gas delivery systems, and liquid bulk systems.
• Repair PLCs, computer equipment, single loop controllers and operator interfaces.
• Troubleshoot plant control system issues and assist with design of instrumentation related controls.
• Maintain spare parts inventory for instrumentation and control systems.
• Write standard work orders and document activities in the CMMS and operations log books.
• Direct and work closely with contractors, monitoring work quality.
• Be on call and respond to sites within two hours when required.
