Job summary

Air Liquide Large Industries in Plaquemine, LA is hiring a skilled Instrumentation and Electrical Technician to support operation, calibration and maintenance of plant instrumentation, control systems, and PLCs.

Requires at least a high school diploma and 2 years of I&E experience; on-call and travel to other sites may be required. Comprehensive benefits, 401(k) with company match, and tuition assistance are provided.

Qualifications

• Minimum high school diploma or equivalent.
• Minimum 2 years I&E experience, plant environment preferred.
• Knowledge of CMMS usage.
• Ability to maintain, repair, calibrate analyzers and control devices.
• Strong organizational skills and communication abilities.
• Ability to travel to other sites as needed; on-call capability.

Responsibilities

• Support operation, start-up and shut-down of compressors and cryogenic systems.
• Calibrate and maintain instrumentation on production plants and gas delivery systems.
• Repair and maintain PLCs and control interfaces.
• Document work in CMMS and maintain calibration records.
• Troubleshoot control system issues and assist with new designs.
• Coordinate with contractors and monitor work quality.
• Maintain spare parts inventory and logs for instrumentation.
• Maintain safety and HSE compliance.
