Qualifications

• Education: High school diploma or GED is essential.
• Preferred: Associate degrees in industrial maintenance or vocational certificates in HVAC, welding, or machining.
• Experience: 1–3 years in industrial maintenance, manufacturing, or a similar role.
• Technical Skills: Proficiency in troubleshooting, repairing, and installing mechanical equipment.
• System Knowledge: Understanding of hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical systems.
• Tool Proficiency: Ability to use hand and power tools including grinders and welding equipment.
• Technical Reading: Ability to read blueprints, schematics, and technical manuals.
• CMMS familiarity is often required.
• Physical Requirements: Ability to perform heavy lifting, climbing, and standing for long periods.
• Common Certifications: CMRT or relevant trade certifications.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine and complex maintenance on mechanical, electrical, and instrumentation equipment including pumps, compressors, valves, motors, control systems, and cryogenic units.
• Execute preventive maintenance schedules, inspections, and calibrations to improve reliability.
• Troubleshoot and diagnose malfunctions, identify root causes, and implement repairs.
• Use CMMS to document work orders, track history, and manage parts inventory.
• Follow safety policies including LOTO, confined space, and hot work permits.
• Participate in on-call rotations for emergencies outside normal hours.
• Collaborate with operations and engineers to improve processes and reliability.
• Read technical documents like blueprints and P&IDs for maintenance tasks.
• Inspect equipment and identify hazards; propose repairs or upgrades.
• Maintain clean, organized work area and care for tools.
