INVISTA in Victoria, TX is seeking an Instrument & Electrical Reliability Engineer to enhance instrumentation, control systems, and electrical assets across manufacturing operations. You will lead reliability programs, collaborate with site teams, and apply expertise to DCS/PLCs, sensors, and safety systems.

You will develop asset strategies, participate in capital projects, and drive reliability improvements through data-driven methods.

Qualifications

BS in Electrical Engineering or related discipline.
Experience in instrumentation/electrical reliability in manufacturing.
Experience leading root cause analyses and reliability projects for instrumentation.

Responsibilities

Provide technical leadership for instrumentation, mechanical integrity, and reliability programs.
Collaborate with operations, maintenance, and project teams to improve reliability and troubleshoot equipment.
Apply engineering expertise to DCS, PLCs, analyzers, transducers, valves, and field instrumentation.
Drive modernization by upgrading legacy instrumentation and implementing smart instrumentation.
Develop strategies for SIS, Functional Safety, PSM, and regulatory instrumentation.
Support capital projects with specs, drawings, vendor engagement, safety reviews, and commissioning.
Lead RCA and reliability improvements to prevent recurring failures.
Create documentation, MOC deliverables, calibration, alarm settings, and interlock testing.
Trend performance metrics to drive data-informed decisions and continuous site improvement.
